idk so the thing i find fun about this is like. poirot has a pretty bog standard detective backstory where he used to be a cop in belgium but he quit to become a much cooler private detective. meanwhile, miss marple is like 90 years old and has lived in this tiny english village all her life. observing people do shit has apparently given her superhuman insight into human behavior. except that no one ever takes her seriously because she's like fucking 90
