if i wasnt making the game in gb studio my solution would be "just have 3 long buttons", but im limited in the amount of unique tiles i can have on one screen. and anyway i like laying things out according to the tiled grid (this is a screenshot of csp where i set the grid to be 8x8 px squares) because it makes triggers and stuff less weird

im assuming you can reach into the GBVM and make triggers that are more fiddly but im not, at that level at all
