He was a colonel who fought in the mexican revolution and he is considered the first transgender person in mexico to get his gender correctly recognized at an institutional level and he did it by sneaking in a "fake" birth certificate into the records. That's extremely cool imo.

He would also threaten to shoot anybody who misgendered him and that's one of the most badass things I've heard. It's such a shame that his history was lost and untold for decades and I can't wait for historians to dig deeper into his life.
