We think we found the pitch document for bringing Persona 2: Eternal Punishment to the US!
We were going through our collections trying to figure out what to show people for our holiday calendar, and we came across a press CD we'd already uploaded to the Internet Archive for Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. One of the files on the CD is a "game concept" document that explains what Persona is, what the game is about, etc.
But... we think this is actually how Atlas pitched the US localization for Eternal Punishment! The way they use the Japanese logos, describe it as a "proposed title," and include Japanese review scores for the previous game in the series, it's like they're trying to convince someone on their sales/marketing team to localize it.
So what on earth is this doing on a press CD? We think they repurposed it into a "hey here's what Persona 2 is" guide for US media. The formatting is really weird, which makes it look like they quickly deleted some stuff from the document, maybe some material that might've been meant for internal use only.
Head over to the VGHF website to read it!
