Remembering this odd game I played this year. Cute little JRPG. Not like, especially standout or anything but I honestly think the attempt by Nihon Systems, who doesn't seem like a very large company, to do a 3D JRPG in 1998 with prerendered backgrounds, even though obviously not like, on the production level of the prior year's FF7, is really neat? Also I just think the graphics are cute sometimes you just play through a thing because it's simple and cute looking and you just wanna see more.
It's just fun seeing old 3D projects. There's a common sentiment I've seen of early 3D being some abomination that hasn't aged as well as sprites but I find myself just attracted too seeing all ideas that come out of a limited-by-technology art style, whether in real time 3D or prerendered. I find it more fun than exploring more modern games honestly, but I know I'm a weirdo about this stuff. I mean my username's lowpolyrobot. I like low poly stuff. Or medium poly. Sometimes even high poly. I just wish things were more weird and fun.
