god. i have no luck in fire emblem games with these fucking stat percentages

a while back i played fire emblem echoes: shadows of valentia1 and like. they give you 4 or 5 base units and that motherfucker tobin REFUSED to gain ANY stats on most of his levels, or would only gain one stat2. it was amost fucking comical and i took a picture every time. unfortunately that was like 10 years ago so i don't still have them but every time i get shit stats in an FE game
i'm like...

THAT MOTHERFUCKER TOBIN

  1. the FE2/Gaiden remake. good game, unfortunately very heterosexual (except for leon), and also kind of married to the gaiden mechanics so actually playing it is kind of a slog. it let me name a sword the lesbian sword though so how bad can it truly be

  2. to be fair stats in that game are kind of wacky

in fact its usually optimal to make him a bow knight bc bow wielding classes are less rng-dependant... i think?

hmmmmmmmm. good question...

well, FE is similar to FF in that most of the titles are completely unrelated to each other in like setting, but the core mechanics are the same. if you want a good intro to FE, i think you might be best off playing Awakening since it has the baseline Fire Emblem Experience with a lot of good QOL features (like the ability to turn off permadeath, which i don't use personally but like not everyone has time to start a stage over if one of ur guys dies). FE8 (The Sacred Stones) is also a pretty good intro to the series as it's kind of like proto-Awakening? Three Houses probably has the best story in recent history but the whole school/training thing is a huge departure from the rest of the series's structure, and trying to replay it is kind of a slog after the first time.

i hope literally any of this helped sorry ;;
