Hmmmmm new hair dye got here. Do I commit 3 hours of my Saturday evening to hair dyeing?

I always hate finding the part for my split-dye. I have massive cowlick on the back of my head and trying to judge what is half my hair vs what will look like half my hair is a pain.

gonna try half pastel purple and half pastel green and hope that the green covers the remainder of the fading purple. Gonna miss the white, esp now that it's actually BEEN white, but I'm building up a backlog of dye that I want to use so bad

thoughts after rinsing: the purple turned out a lot more blue than I expected. I mixed pink and blue in a 1:1 ratio, but i probably should have leaned a little more on the pink side. will wait to see what color it ends up when it dries. the green is green, no notes there (though the parts that still had purple in them are an... interesting shade of blue now)

follow up: it was straight up just blue

which was lame and boring but it also took me this long to scrounge up the energy to go over it again (2:1 pink to blue!! this time) definitely noticing that my ends don't want to take color anymore because of how much of an ordeal it was getting them to stay white.

yea blue pigments tend to stick super well and generally don’t like to fade :( and since hair dye is pretty transparent, the color that’s under it will continue to affect the final result quite a bit. if you try to correct it again, covering it with 100% pink might work

Yeah I've decided blue is my least favorite color to work with :( I do have some really dark purple im going to use eventually that I know will cover it up, but I have so much pastel dye I want to mess with first
