is like if someone read plot summaries of Nier Automata and Ex Machina and said "ah yes I wanna make something like this but with more humans and also the US military"
it coulda been a decent action movie if they hadn't tried being deep about it but also it could've been a decent scifi movie if they had leaned into that part more.
there was potential but they kinda just phoned it in and split the difference which made the movie feel very noncommittal
