just put my index back on after 5 weeks of using a quest pro and i'm fully convinced i will never switch to anything that's not the valve index 2. not even talking about the accessories (lmao the quest pro controllers are bad bad), just purely the hmd itself.

the screens and lenses on the quest pro are breathtaking, wireless pcvr is nice, and the face/eye tracking stuff is a neat gimmick albeit a bit useless for me bc none of my characters Do That. but the comfort? the immersion? the audio quality? index undefeated and it's not even close.

going for an optical tracking system (3 cameras and a snapdragon cpu in each controller babey!) which completely falls apart when you dim the lights is just really funny on a headset you HAVE to use in the dark if you want any sort of immersion due to the approx. 5 mile wide gap at the bottom. brain genius move.

i understand this is not a "looking for solutions" type post, but just in case you find need for the headset again or other camera tracked HMDs, you can often get a dark room if you have IR light for the headset (and now the controllers too lmao)
