yeah that's about as far as we got but we couldn't find any with markings like that
looks like Thelia bimaculata according to some poking around on bug ID sites
wat bug sites do you use...? Just curious bc the ones I had tried didn't seem that great
they're not always consistent so I will search with a web browser using what order the bug seems to be in based on visual differences (true bugs aka hemiptera never have wing casings but beetles aka coleoptera always do, the apidae family have a real specific wing and body setup, etc) and then plugging in the color and the location found if I know that. then I check against government parks and rec websites, local entomology universities usually have good data, and then there are sites like bugguide.net and insectidentification.org that have user submitted images and people doing their own research
