ooo funnn!!
it's hard to come up with just 3 favs, here's some i like a lot though!
- lots of shape definition! this is especially the case for the head/face and the feet, i really like when each part of body has its shape pretty clear in the design, even/especially when it's more implied than explicity drawn. an early influence for me was the way faces are done in fullmetal alchemist. relatively simple linework that does a loot of work to communicate the shapes of the face. also point to pokemon for a similar thing.
- i'm a big fan of headgear and sorta goofy hairstyles (usually done with same color as fur). i think this is definitely from what i love of late 80s/90s videogame (and other) mascot stuff. i have a habit of adding hats, or adding some kinda hairstyle, or my common interest in adding some kind of goggles lol. other accessories i love as well, i think i do get along with the design idea of a character with an overall consistent look plus one or two kinds of "standout" accessory.
- i really like sockpaws! can either mean the actual pawsocks clothing or sock-patterned paws, communicates a kinda softness, very cute!
also a bonus one bc i just remembered but i love draped clothes. robes, gowns, etc i just really like how they add to the form.
