Eurovision
@Eurovision

I've spent over an hour in various queues and I can't get any tickets which aren't overpriced "Hospitality Packages" so short of a miracle, I'm not going.

I'm sure there'll be another opportunity, right? When Eurovision will be within a short train ride of where I live?

Like, I've only been into it so much this year because I thought I'd be able to go. I saw too much optimism that I'd be able to get tickets to the less popular afternoon shows, but they sold out in under half an hour! I hope all the serious Eurofans who go every year have a good time, I guess. Couldn't be me, someone who thought this was a once in a lifetime experience. There are other things going on in Liverpool, so maybe I'll go to some of them.

It's fine. I'm fine.

yeah it's,, as Elaine said: "'average person gets 2 eurovision tickets a year' factoid actualy just statistical error. average person gets 0 eurovision tickets per year. Scalpers Georg, who lives in botnet & buys over 10,000 in first half hour, is an outlier adn should not have been counted"

Ticketmaster handle face-value resales, which I'll try to keep my eye on. Apparently there were only 6000 tickets per event, and there's huge demand. It's not the end of the world, I'm not going to let it spoil my fun.
