I was just reminded of this clip of the famous producer Hal Prince where he talks about Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Cats. It's very good. A surprising number of things turn out to just be about cats.

Hal Prince: I listened to it all and I said uh "Andrew, is there something I don't get? Is this about Queen Victoria, she's the main cat, and Disraeli and Gladstone are other cats and then there are, um, you know, poor cats and- Am I missing this?" and- and he took a terrible, painful long pause and said "Hal, it's about cats.". And we never discussed it again.
