Des'ree didn't want to see a ghost but she might make an exception for one of these! I thought the <details>tag could make cool listicles so this is me trying it out. Enjoy!

10. 👻 Slimer from The Ghostbusters
Slimer from Ghostbusters He's green! He's iconic! But I never really got Ghostbusters, so I can't put him any higher than tenth.
9. 👻 Shedinja from the Pokémon franchise
Shedinja There are so many Ghost Pokémon that I could just do a top 10 of them. Shedinja is notable for its unique evolution method, where it appears when a Nincada evolves into a Ninjask, and being a genderless Pokémon that evolves from a gendered one, but it's most famous for it's special ability. See, Shedinja only has 1HP, but it can't be hurt by damaging moves that do not deal super-effective damage. So it's very difficult to hurt, if you're not prepared. Many gym leaders have not been! I remember battling a friend of mine years ago who didn't know about Shedinja and just could not do anything, until I told him how Wonder Guard worked. And then he beat me completely. But I still like Shedinja! Very high-tier Pokémon. Once won me an online triple battle during Gen VI against someone with two Mewtwo, who just didn't have any moves that could hurt Shedinja.
8. 👻 The Ghost of Christmas Future from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
The Ghost of Christmas Future from The Muppet Christmas Carol You WILL die, and I guess some people need reminding of that. That's what the ghost of Christmas Future is for, to make you contemplate how badly people will speak of you if you don't change your ways. Oooooh, spooky!
7. 👻 The Ghost of Hamlet's Dad from Hamlet by William Shakespeare
An extract from Act 1 Scene 5 of Hamlet. Some of Shakespeare's best plays have a supernatural twist. The Tempest is the one with a wizard, A Midsummer Night's Dream is the one with fairies and Macbeth is the one with witches. But Hamlet is the one with the ghost. Well, arguably so is Macbeth. And Julius Caesar. And Henry VI. And Richard III. But Hamlet's Dad is the spookiest. He strikes fear into people! And he urges Hamlet to take revenge, leading to a tragic ending where (spoilers) everyone dies.
6. 👻 The Boo Brothers from Scooby Doo and The Boo Brothers
The Boo Brothers I loved this movie when I was a child, and it definitely influenced me. Would I have ever gotten into Interactive Fiction if it wasn't for the Boo Brothers? (And Learn With Sooty: Start to Read 2, but that's for another post.) Would I be posting here? Truly, I'll never know.
5. 👻 Kitty from the BBC's Ghosts Kitty from Ghosts She's just a lot of fun! I think she's neat. I think that a character who is just nice to people is a good addition to an ensemble cast. She also has a mysterious, troubled backstory.
4. 👻 The Grey Lady
💃
There are actually multiple Grey Ladies worldwide, haunting old buildings, serving looks. Several have been reported in Newcastle alone! Which one's your favourite? Leave a comment down below, and don't forget to like this post and follow @Cofruitrigus for more content!
3. 👻 Ghost Kirby
Sprites of Ghost Kirby He can possess! He can control! He's a spooky soul but he's not scary, right? The first Kirby game I played was Mouse Attack (AKA Squeak Squad and not to be confused with Kirby Mass Attack) and I loved it! It's not considered one of the best Kirby games, but I still appreciate it. The bubble mechanic was interesting, the collectables felt worth collecting, and there was a decent choice of copy abilities. Late in the game you could access Ghost Kirby, who could possess enemies and let you play controlling them. It's really fun! I tried to complete a Ghost run once but Ghost Kirby can't go down ladders or drop under platforms, and you just can't beat any bosses or most mini-bosses with it. But I still had fun, and that's what's important!
2. 👻 The ghost reading this. xx <3
Honourable Mentions - Force ghosts
Remember Star Wars?
- Boos, from the Mario series.
AKA Teresa. Teresa Green? They're just so round! And you can't eat them.
- The Ancestors from Disney's Mulan.
Are they ghosts? Arguably.
- The spectre of communism.
There's a spectre haunting Europe! ☭
1. 👻 Rachel Burston from Love Cycle: A Soap Operetta
Three time Tony Award winner Patti Lupone as Rachel Love Cycle: A Soap Operetta was a made-for-TV mini-musical from the 1980s that was never broadcast. It starred three-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone as Rachel, a ghost haunting a dryer, who wants revenge on her ex-husband for leaving her for another woman. It was an incredible performance! She's giving everything! And frankly her ex Steve does suck. Go get that vengeance, queen!

It's very camp and very fun, and you can watch it here!
