Doin' my best to keep walking

I like books (feel free to recommend some) and music, occasional anime watcher. Suffering from card game brain worms.

I know it's Tuesday, but cut me some slack.

• Read some (The Conference of the Birds)
• Ate leftover brisket from my uncle's wedding (revered around these parts apparently, the bride's father is a part of a BBQ team that won first place at the rodeo XD)
• Bought some more pieces for a budget Dragon Link deck I'm building bit by bit.
• Had alcohol for the first time in like 2 years

This weekend was quite packed compared to the relatively lax previous two. Taking my time searching for gifts for my family.

May also erect a Christmas tree for the first time in like 3 years.

Firefighters, amiright?

This was the decklist. Back on Orcust-PK, because I'm extremely edgy and refuse to go anywhere but directly to the graveyard so help me Lord. Some thoughtful jokes include transmodify to turn PK's into Armageddon and grepher as well as cymbal into Girsu (surprisingly helpful), One for One and Brass Bombard for an eleventh hour orcust, and Sauge De Fleur to help break boards just a bit (also came up more than I thought). Small world turns anything into anything because it's a DARK soup, and Impermanence is the only handtrap, because my soul is too weighed down by gravity to care about interrupting my opponent. I'm here to spin my wheels, damnit, and spin they will.

First matchup was against Manadome-Scareclaw. The first game was decided by his triggering a Zeroboros BlastTM. I failed to break the board in the second and died to Tri-heart. I prayed to the Super Polymerization Deity to deliver me in the third it did not answer.

Second matchup was against Unchained. So many pops. Lost 2 straight.

Third matchup was against Rescue-Ace. Managed to set up fully in the first game, but was simply outground as the turns went on. Probably my favorite game of the night. Second game, mismanaged a hand full of normal summons horribly and failed to set up anything.

As my time with Yugioh has gone on, I've found that I get the most enjoyment out of playing whatever resonates with me, rather than what will get me wins. Phantom knights still pique my interest at this point, and it'll stay that way for a while, probably.

My friend won 2 matches, a personal best for him if I remember correctly! His journey as a chef continues.
