That one model is definitely well-tuned, should print without any tinkering.
I really wish there were more online info about designing your own compliant items like this! Everything print-in-place and compliance (pieces that are meant to bend safely and repeatedly) seems like an arcane dark art.
yeah, I've been dipping my toes into printable design recently and it's hard enough to find guidelines about simple things like printing working threads and snap fits, let alone more complex things like compliant mechanisms.
