I understand why the effect got wiped, but kinda liked the animation running, especially as winter is coming around here. So I put together a userscript that's less annoying to read posts through, and added a navbar button for when your mood changes in the middle of scrolling through a page. Mostly for myself, but I figured I'd upload it if anybody else wants the effect too.
I haven't tested this much, so apologies if there are any bugs. There are a couple "settings" you can change at the top of the script too.
