there's amphetamine sulfate (Dynavel, Eveko), which is Kinda Sorta adderall but missing one of the constituent parts (and has extra of the others), also has an XR.

there's Methylphenidate (Focalin, Methylin, Ritalin) which as a similar mechanism as adderall. there's XR variants

There's dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine, Zenzedi), which makes you sweat less and has similar efficacy. XR is Dexedrine Spansule.

At least two of these (methylphenidate and amp. sulfate) aren't experiencing a shortage right now, I can't speak to dextroamp availability until I switch from dynavel to dexedrine next month.

I personally use atomoxetine. It doesn't work as good as Adderall for me ... but I have way less intrusive side effects. When I was on Adderall, is worsened my insomnia quite a bit. And I forget my meds frequently which caused at least weekly Adderall withdrawals which was mildly unpleasant >.<

atomoxetine is, unfortunately, not the same class of medicine -- I like it on the side of mine, but mine is bad enough that I need the good stuff in order to get anything done.

THAT SAID personally if it's given you insomnia before, and you want something that helps more, I can personally recommend, paradoxically, taking an extended release version if you weren't -- it lets you have a lower dose for longer than the instant release ones, but importantly: the tail end of the dose is often lower than when I was taking an IR twice a day.

yeah, i'm currently waiting to see how long it takes the pharmacy to order in dexedrine er so we'll see how that goes; i thiiink it's not in manufacturer shortage but the pharmacies around here mostly don't stock it 'cause it's less popular

( methylphenidate/generic concerta was what i was trialed on before ending up on adderall and it did nooot work for me but it works great for some people! )

been on a generic meythlphenidate ER since i got diagnosed earlier this year and it's definitely doin something but anecdotally all the generics are considered total ass compared to the Expensive Patented Concerta

I'm personally on dexmethylphenidate (which autocorrect REALLY wants to call sexy methylphenidate) and find that it gives me similar effects (but slightly less "ON" feels) to Adderall but without as much sweat our irritability. Can also confirm that I've had no trouble (besides the usual hoops) to getting it filled.
