I just learned about paraselenes today! nansen was an absolute hero
for the longest time i thought they were just like, artistic stylization so it was cool to find out it's a real phenomenon! (also funny going oh i guess this guy was the artist on the trip or something and finding out no he was the one responsible for it)
Nansen was an absolute champion. I've been learning about him bit by bit via an Antarctic podcast
