April this year, I finally figured this out, about why I mew (not so much where it came from) but at least a potential reason.
Echolalia
an autistic trait where you repeat words or phrases a lot, usually echoing what other people say, hence the name.
It can/does also mean latching onto a particular phrase and saying it just all the time because the way it sounds, is good to your brain.
Any of my partners or friends I've been with on voice can support this, I mew, quite a lot.
