i generally like iterating through a process to get where i am going, as my capacity for large scale planning isn't great.
one of the difficult things about photochemical film is it's very much a limited resource, and there is a significant lag between capture and viewing/editing: consumables and processing require significant investments in time and money.
in a attempt to make my process more iterative, and potentially waste less film, i'm going to try to use two cameras: a dlsr and a film slr that can use the same set of lenses.
one to fuck around and one to find out.
obviously there are some subjects (like candid portraits) this won't work for, but i tend to shoot things that don't move too much.
i am interested if to see if this will improve the quality of my captures.
the only snag so far is the digital camera will probably be a crop format, but i think it can still be a useful exercise.
