i have been listening to *1 by Rắn Cạp Đuôi sooo much this last month, it's an ambitious & wide-ranging album that covers territory from shoegaze to early-sophie-style vocal manipulation to breakcore to sound collage, it is phenomenal and scratches my brain similarly to how 1000 gecs did when i first heard that in 2019. this bandcamp article about them from last year is also really cool & provides context for the current experimental vietnamese scene, i'm stoked to listen to more from that list! my favorites from *1 are what cherubs and pressure
