forgot to post this update earlier but here this is around the halfway point! making only okay time on this one for Reasons. from here we step up to heavier gauge wire and annoying shit like thermocouple

As someone who hasn't ever really worked with electronics at the hardware level are you designing like to-fit custom builds here? I imagine that like the electronics that manage industrial equipment arent mass produced but I wasnt sure if there were like built from sorts of prefab baselines

great question! I'm sure there are parts of some industries that are more comprehensively prefab but as a general rule in my part of the field the components (heaters, breakers, relays, thermostats, processors, touchscreens etc) are mass produced but the configurations (and by extension, the controls) are custom and hand-assembled. we get some truly identical bulk orders from clients who slap a brand name on my work and resell as part of their own systems but for the most part most of my panels have a similar purpose but slightly different build depending on the plant they'll go in. variations on a theme
