The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is a PC RPG from 2004 made by Nihon Falcom. it is the first game in the Trails series, which is part of the Legend of Heroes series, which is itself part of the Dragon Slayer series. Trails starts with Eiyuden 6, and Eiyuden starts with the fifth Dragon Slayer game. don't worry about that part right now. start with Trails. start with The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky FC. I guess I'd waffle on whether I think FC (first chapter) or SC (second chapter) is my favorite turn-based RPG, SC really hits a beautiful stride with the character writing but its final dungeon is a bit of slog whereas FC is paced absolutely perfectly imo. breezy 30~40 hours with nothing wasted
Estelle Bright is the main protagonist of the Sky trilogy of games and you should respect her because she's helpful and kind and a warm brilliant light in the life of everyone around her and most importantly she has a big heavy stick and will beat the shit out of you

BEST REGION IN LIBERL: Ruan. I'm a sucker for a jrpg coastal region and places of interest in Ruan are 100% bangers only. the city, the school, the lighthouse, the gorgeous little town of Manoria. even the Air-Letten border checkpoint is cool. that's a deranged thing to write but it's true
BEST CITY IN LIBERL: god I could go between Ruan and Bose depending on the day. I love the bridge gimmick in Ruan and the overall vibe, love Bose's little proto-mall and it's the ideal size for a JRPG city. but Ruan connects to the rest of the Ruan region so it takes the tie
BEST SHOP IN LIBERL: tossup between the one in SC where you can buy every ingredient and the one in SC where Estelle, licensed enforcer of the peace, has to have the concept of pretrial bail explained to her
BEST ZONE IN LIBERL: Valleria Lakeshore. the Legend of Angler Estelle starts here. seems like an awesome place to vacation in general
BEST HOUSE IN LIBERL: you know the one. take the Elize Highway south out of Rolent and after you go a few selge hang a right down a little dirt road...
