Devs please stop using closed platforms (Discord) as the sole way to access news, updates and troubleshooting for your product
please, making and maintaining a website or blog is very easy
i want to push back on "website is easy" - it isn't, and thats precisely why this stuff happens. website costs money, both upfront (domain name) and ongoing (hosting, security); its much more technical than is in many peoples wheelhouse, with both front and backend being entirely separate disciplines;
compare to spinning up a discord - you've got the app already. click the plus, name it, all good.
there needs to be an easier way to spin up websites that (1) is free, since thats point one of doing this and (2) is easy for adding modular content but that doesn't look like squarespace-ass templates designed to carousel through stockphotos with a grand total of 3 routes, because this is a documentation website not a sellsheet.
(please note this is not an endorsement of the practice of discordwikification, this is just thinking through why this happens and how MATERIAL change is going to be needed to fix it, not just begging devs)
also the "just use github" approach doesn't work because then you are saying "the only user i want playing my game is the one who can figure out git", which, great if you know it, but for people who want to fire up and play a videogame? thats probably too technical.
