slowly figuring out how it's constructed. some of it's weird, some of it's janky. most of it's not so bad.
got a quote for an official asbestos inventory. approved it, hoping i can get them to stop by some time next week. at this point it seems unlikely there is asbestos in anything i'm taking apart but i'm not sure and i rather would be
got a first quote for removing the stair lift the previous owner had installed. waiting on a second quote just because i'm curious what the spread is like, but i should be able to get it removed maybe next week as well. can't wait to reclaim that space on the stairs β they're very narrow so this will make them much nicer
the shed is constructed better than i thought. mostly just need to fix (replace?) the roof and probably replace the plywood that warped from water damage. i probably won't need to rebuild it any time soon, maybe just pour a concrete floor on top of the tiles currently in there
i'm starting to develop a plan of attack here: remove most of the interior walls and false walls, break open the living room ceiling, redo the subfloor on the second story, run all my new wiring (and some spare conduit while i'm at it), then hang new drywall, install outlets, etc.
once i have the all clear on asbestos i think the only limiting factors really are time and money (as opposed to executive function + other people's time). can't wait
