mortgage payments start a month later than i budgeted for so i decided to treat myself to some nice kitchen stuff.
- haven't tried the wok (de Buyer Mineral B Element, 32cm) yet. it's built like a tank though — maybe a bit on the heavy side. also a little bit unsteady on my stove burner, but doable; worst comes to worst i could probably buy/make some kind of ring for it.
- the chef's knife (Opinel no. 218 Intempora, 20cm) is very nice. sharp, well balanced, nicely made.
- the cast iron skillet cooks nicely. it's also a bit heavy, and the handle gets very hot very quickly. doable with an oven mitt though, maybe i'll make some wooden lagging or something in the long run
