i didn't realize this was the clock change weekend for my timezone and now i'm very excited because it's one hour earlier than i thought it was when i woke up! let's do this every sunday
this reminds me of a thing in the Mars trilogy by KSR where they figure out how to deal with the fact that Mars's solar day is about 40 minutes longer than Earth's. they come up with several ideas, but the one that ends up sticking for day to day use is: seconds, minutes and hours stay the same length, but after midnight there is a 40 minute "timeslip" where the clock just stops. it becomes a whole cultural thing eventually.
the books have their issues, but i still like them a lot. unlike a lot of science fiction, KSR makes a real effort to describe not just how science and technology develop, but also things like economics, politics, and culture. i think they're very much still worth reading, if you haven't already.
