cleared out all the crap from this part of the living room, vacuumed, laid vapour barrier and underlayment, and started laying the floor. the first couple of runs are the most annoying because when you attach a new run, the old run isn't well-secured enough to not come apart. so i kinda have to go back and forth. laying the kitchen floor taught me it gets easier/faster as you go though.
then when i get halfway or so i have to do a big switcheroo and move all that crap from the other half of the room onto the new floor, to clear the space. reckon it'll be another two days or so before i'm done with this. then i think i'm going to assemble the couch, and i will finally have a comfortable place to sit!!
