honestly just put this on my list because it's by P.A. Works (which i am contractually obligated to watch). didn't even know it was about cheerleading until earlier today, the original summary was useless as always lol. only noticed when i saw the different one on animeschedule.

it doesn't seem super interesting so far but it's also kinda inoffensive. girls who were into cheerleading until The Incident (not 100% sure on the details yet), they're gonna get the band back together, or whatever. you know the drill. i think i'll keep watching to see where it goes.

the foreign character annoys me. they never bother to make them feel like they're actually genuinely from anywhere instead of generic foreign + maybe a few stereotypes. as a rule, if a character can't convincingly pronounce their own name in their original language, you probably shouldn't have that character (or at least that VA).

some interesting art style stuff going on there. they seem to use fully 3DCG backgrounds with hand drawn characters over it? and the CG has some kind of cel shading filter with a bunch of artifacts. idk how i feel about it yet, though it's not too distracting.

animation seems solid enough, which is important for a show with a bunch of movement sequences in it. there's a cheerleading scene at the start, and a bunch of parkour type stuff. admittedly not very realistic physics-wise. i wasn't really pixel peeping but didn't spot anything that took me out of it, anyway.
