here's a fun one for you btw, how do i tram a mill that doesn't have a tram adjustment. i fear i'll have to machine some shims (or maybe one big slightly lopsided spacer ring) and god is that gonna be a pain in the ass
yeah, the millhead on my machine doesn't have a tram adjustment either. the column connects to the top of the lathe spindle housing with 4 bolts and a registration ring. i bought a selection of shims that will fit around the bolts https://www.mcmaster.com/catalog/129/3662/97235K808.
i haven't yet tried to tram it with that method because it's presently disassembled. i have one of these speed tramming rigs https://www.edgetechnologyproducts.com/mini-pro-tram-system-11-000/ . i'll just sit down one day and walk it in with shims
