and someone found me an actual railfan anime, so guess what i'm watching now.

just finished the first episode... it's okay i guess? it's a little Loud. what i like about trains is relaxing and taking in the scenery, and i wish it would highlight that aspect more... but we'll see where it goes

I think limiting describing media just as 'good' or 'bad' is a massive disservice to explaining if it is still actually worth engaging with. Everything can still have merit regardless of where it falls on the X and Z axes, so long as it's not seeping down into boring.

Edit: Also 'boring' not necessarily to be conflated with something that is slow or calm but still engaging.

two of them are 'loud' vs 'quiet' and 'creepy' vs 'wet'
