while I'm on the topic of libraries and gender (my life truly is so one-note these days) my boss at the queer centre library told me he was set a goal of having 10% of the collection be about trans topics but (so sad) he just couldn't (he gave it a good try, truly) find more than about 8 or 10 books.
Anyway so far my woefully incomplete list of purchase recommendations is approaching 100 titles, and I think I'll have to ask the director of the centre when I next see her if she wants the whole document or maybe a dossier of my strongest recs
