What even are hats?

JRPGs, VNs, other games and stuff I think are interesting, maybe some writing and/or gamedev if I feel like it?

Because it's a good idea to have this set up ahead of time. Gonna be editing my reactions in under a cut as they happen.

And we're starting things off with Aussie Open/Better Than You Bay Bay. And I love that that's really MJF and Adam Cole's tag team name.

This is probably the most over a kangaroo kick has ever been.

HELL YEAH! Kangaroo kick and double clothesline to win it! And they didn't even implode!

Got the FTW Championship next. Please let Hook win this one.

Taking a limo to ringside? A bit odd but I like it as a heel move.

Not sure how they're gonna explain this to the insurers.

Fucking hell that's a scary spot with the window.

Heck yeah, Hook takes it! Now I hope they both head to medical because it sure looks like they got a few cuts from the glass spot.

And we've got PPV sign!

Excalibur opening the main show up with "It's Wembley. You know what that means." Can't help but love that.

Main show opener's Joe/Punk, which I guess minimizes the time Punk needs to spend around the Elite.

Love the "First CM Punk match since Big Daddy V" sign near the front. I get the feeling this one'll probably outdo that.

Scary hurricanrana but it doesn't seem to have slowed Joe down any.

Another good sign: "PEPSI IS A SOFT DRINK"

Punk with plenty of red on him.

The crowd's really elevating this match.

Punk retains, honestly not a surprise. Wasn't a bad match or anything though, and it sure as hell warmed the crowd up.

Next up we've got Bullet Club Gold and Konosuke Takeshita against Hangman and the Golden Lovers. We may not have any belts on the line in this one but there's still no shortage of gold here!

Still loving these crowd reactions.

There really hasn't been a dull moment this whole match.

And Takeshita with the roll-up! He may be a heel but I'm glad he got the chance to get a big win on PPV.

Time for The Bucks and FTR! This should be a fun one.

Damn, Cash is getting demolished here.

Dax and Matt with a very nice suplex sequence.

This match has been everything I hoped it would be.

I just now noticed FTR's armbands. Very nice tribute.

And FTR retain! That was definitely a good one.

Oh, Stadium Stampede next? Interesting.

Imagine telling someone at the first indie show James Cipperly did as Orqnge Cassidy that that's the gimmick he'd end up using in front of a full house at Wembley.

Okay, I don't think I'm gonna be able to get over that skewer spot between Mox and Penta. Super unique and pretty damn scary if I'm being honest.

Oh I do not envy the continuity crew who have to make sure they catch as much of this match as possible.

IT'S SUE! In a Mercedes!

That was a long Giant Swing.

I definitely did not expect Cassidy to be the one to introduce broken glass into this match.

And OC takes it home! That was really fucking bloody.

Women's championship match next.

I like how much Nigel McGuinness was fanboying over Toni Storm in her entrance.

Okay, I didn't go into this intending to use the women's championship match for my bathroom break but it says something tragic about the state of the AEW women's division that I was even willing to. They look to have had a good match though.

Coffin match time. I appreciate that they were still able to do something unique for Christian's entrance despite him being a last-minute addition.

Sting should've come out with the half-Crow, half-Joker facepaint he had in that promo.

Thumbtack jackets in the coffin!

I know taking ridiculous risks is kinda Darby's thing, but seriously, wrestling with your hands tied behind your back? Doing a freakin' tope suicida with your hands tied behind your back? What the hell, man?

Sting table spot!

Coffin Drop onto the coffin! And the lid didn't even break! I am once again in awe of Darby's willingness to do these kinds of risky moves.

And Sting continues his trend of no-selling chair shots.

...all right, who painted an F on the coffin?

Thos coffin's an absolute trooper for taking as much punishment as it has.

And Sting and Darby win it! Though I'm not sure how Swerve and Christian expected to beat them when they've got so much more coffin match experience.

Now Jericho and Ospreay and we're getting to learn what 80,000 people singing along to Judas sounds like.

Misheard Excalibur calling Don Callis a human pustule as calling him a "Human PLUS tool" which I think means I've been playing too much Armored Core.

Plenty of drama in this one.

And Ospreay has proven once and for all that being the hometown hero is more powerful than giving your otherwise-mundane finisher a cool name.

And Ospreay wins! I liked that one.

nerd voice uh, actually the Collision in Korea had-is shot

And next up's House of Black/Acclaimed and Billy Gunn. Or, to put it another way, Billy Gunn somehow getting over enough in 2023 to be above Sting on a card that sells out Wembley.

"BISECT ME FATHER BUTTOCKS" is another good sign.

And the good guys win it! Though if you ask me Bowens managing to slam Brody King should've been a bigger deal, I mean have you seen that guy?

Just the main event left, let's see how this goes. I didn't expect Cole and MJF to not have imploded by this point so who knows at this point?

The super dramatic overblown PPV orchestral version of the same royalty-free song MJF's been using since he started wrestling never gets old.

And everyone who called Adam Cole turning on MJF, congratulations!

This is amazing. I still remember when there wasn't a non-Long Island crowd in the world that wouldn't boo MJF, and here he is now getting cheered as a face.

Double pin?

And of course they weren't gonna end it like that.

This is getting incredibly dramatic in all the ways I like.

Panama Sunrise ref bump!

And MJF wins! That was amazingly dramatic and I haven't even remotely properly summarized the storytelling here.

And I guess this cements Cole's heel turn.

Or not! I didn't expect that outcome. Seriously words don't do justice to how surprising this ending is.

And we're closing it out there! Great show overall, fucking awesome main event, the biggest issue is how the women's championship match ended and where it was on the card but that's more a running problem with AEW as a whole.
