In retrospect, I can't help but find the days when office comedy was a major moneymaking genre to be more than a little bizarre.
Like, I can get why certain types of white-collar workers would enjoy it. Mainstream culture suddenly becoming obsessed with stories about men in fabric-covered boxes who know more about everything than their bosses that constantly joke about how shitty office jobs and the companies that offer them are? Not so much. I'd have expected there to be a pretty narrow window in which that stuff lands above which you're rich enough that you probably won't get it and below which you're poor enough that joking about companies firing everyone competent because they're dumb hits too close to home. But what do I know?
