The state medicaid website is going to start having a "virtual assistant" next week and I finally got around to looking at the details of what that means and it's going "you can use next-generation AI to help you check if a patient is eligible or to check on the status of a prior authorization" and thank fuck that's all it does because I'd rather not have deal with fucking horseshit like ChatGPT or whatever for work.

Unless they do something fucking stupid.

Considering that all it can do is look up a claim and check statuses on things as opposed to doing full blown DAPO (drug authorization and policy overrides), I'm mostly concerned that in the future some idiot might try to do a WI version of last week's eating disorder debacle in the near future.

It feels more like for providers in the sense of doctor/hospital office than pharmacy because again, I can look that shit up on my own instead of calling and being put on hold for an hour.
