If discord banned your account tomorrow, what would happen to your social life?
My friend and I were just talking and they said there is a thing called the loneliness epidemic. I ducked it and I found some articles. My friend said it's because captialism has kind of killed the "third space" by commercializing all previous third spaces. You don't have a free place to go to meet people in some places anymore. And once money is involved it gets weird. So, you end up socially isolated. They complained how their entire life is now "work, home, and discord," and I related. They even kind of soft called me out on focusing on RPGs because it "must have worked for you in the past but maybe idk pick up a new hobby that maybe someone in the area might do meetups" for. They were trying to be helpful but now I just feel very melancholy and just felt like sharing.
