Mike Brutman, the creator of mTCP (a TCP/IP stack for DOS) keeps an alternate version on his website on an alternate server. It just reached 2500 hours of continuous uptime.
Okay, over 100 days without a crash/power cycle. Why is that cool? B/c the webserver is:
- Is an IBM PCJr, with a 4.77 MHz V20 CPU, connected to the Internet proper.
- Has 736kB of RAM.
- Running his own TCP/IP stack.
- Running in MS-DOS!! Without crashing!! Continuously!! For 100 days!!
Today, it's getting a Hug of Death thanks to the the aforementioned article, and Mike has decided to livestream its DDOS :D!
You can watch the livestream here.
You can visit the website that the server hosts here.
