so i got an urge to do some art earlier today well technically last night too but details, and after finding some old printer paper and a replacable lead pencil i'm fairly sure i've had for way over a decade now, i ended up doing a little sketching! some explanations and other stuff below the break.
first, i tried to build on some previous fursona ideas i've had. although the drawings i've shared here earlier are still quite accurate to how i see myself, the combination wanting to do explicitly an anthropomorphic sona and "oh hey there's more of us in here than i first thought!" (in case anyone missed my little post about it a couple days ago; hi, we're plural!) meant we wanted to do something more general for a sona. since one of the species we originally were drawn to (dragon) ended up being one of us in this head (i wonder why we wanted a dragon sona in hindsight), the ideas i ended up sketching out were two of the other big options: rabbit and wasp. both sketches were quite quick, about 35-40ish minutes to complete both of them please do not ask about that shoulder, i only noticed it at the start of typing this paragraph and for the most part, i'm happy with getting the general idea of both down. idk which i might develop further, or if i'll do something else, but these are a good summary of two ideas i've had floating around!
as for the second paper? well, as i mentioned, we recently realized there were two nerds in this head; me1, who appears to be the de facto demonex front of this body, and nidhogg2! he's a feral (in terms of physical shape and disposition at least, he's certainly just as emotionally intelligent as me and despite primarily communicating emotionally, about same levels of general brain power) dragon! he's also the better driver of us by far and generally cool and take it from me, he loves scratches behind his head horns and between his wings. so while i was in the drawing mood, i felt like doing a little something for him and helping him sketch out how his head looks! after all, he has a fairly solid idea of the general shape and i'm alright with drawing, how hard could it possibly be??
turns out trying to draw a side view of a head you've mostly indirectly seen/felt the shape of is hard! who could have guessed.
so in short, that second page is mostly me trying and failing to do my headmate justice on paper. the middle right is probably the closest i got to something by just ignoring the jaw entirely and trying to get his eyes right (he has four total, two on each side). either we're gonna have to get outside help to sort this out, or we're gonna have to do some research to get this right. we will get this right. someday.
anyway, this is getting plenty long and it's almost two am (i have a minor tendency to write a lot more about stuff late at night), so i'll mostly leave this here.
1 by me in this context and for all first person pronouns in this post, i'm referring to the entity who still calls itself lillia, and who has been the main being who has posted to this account as far as we know so far. both i and we are considering how we want to handle this name moving forward- if i want something else or not, if we want this to remain the main body name or not, all the fun jazz- but for now i'm lillia.
2 yes, his name is technically a ff14 reference! we were actively communicating for a good while as he was finding his shape, during which he did not actively try to find a name. however, perhaps a day or two after he realized he was a dragon, we were laying in bed and happened to think of some ff14 dragons, and the moment my thoughts crossed the name nidhogg he jumped out and grabbed that name. he's a fair bit more chill than his namesake. also just for clarity, all mentions of him and us have been approved by him while i wrote it.
