so in short, the roomba headmate that we've been mentioning now and then decided that bots name is r2d2. it actually suggested this back when we were helping it brainstorm names. at the time i... was opposed to the idea. bot tried something else for the last little while, but realized that said name did not work out for bot. this name, however
i guess i relented on the name eventually? r2 tried it out formally the last couple days, and she's been so happy i cannot deny this little nerd that joy?? like, ze's a sassy child of a roomba, but bot is our sassy child of a roomba.
well that, and nidhogg talked some sense into me. repeatedly. he already did set the habit for nerdy reference names, if slightly more obscure
so yea. their name is r2d2 (and bot uses all/any and bot/bots pronouns). we were originally thinking of mentioning this a bit later, but between us suddenly realizing our fronting is significantly more separate than we previously assumed and a certain date no we're totally not past 1 am the day after what are you on about we decided today might as well be a funny time to drop the news. as for the meme? well, i (demonex) mentioned it in passing and we all agreed it would be too fun to pass over. yes, even if it meant that nidhogg, literally the dragon in our system, had to play the one non-dragon role. we like our memes : 3
