🐺 evil fursona discussion time!~ (look one of us thought of that line and how was I not supposed to use it)
so we have a hypothesis for why we've been struggling with making/sticking with any designs up until now, even when the others tried to make individual sonas. we've been too focused on trying to find something that's explicitly us. this just ended up with us making ourselves with a different species, and it just never worked for us.
we're trying something new right now. design by committee system.
our current idea is something we've tried to sort out together. design elements that are decided by all of us. what we're going for is based on an idea that's turning out to be both incredible and surprisingly affirmative for all of us:
"we have a button that will transform our physical body into the fursona we design. (for now) we can only press it once, and we will not have access to shapeshifting ala what the Demonex has. it's what we would, in theory, want our physical shared body to look like permanently. what do we make?"
so far, this design has gone through three major changes on our way to finalizing it. the first draft was from the lovely night moment where I said hi the first time. our second was from... whenever I last yelled on here about doing art. around this last weekend, IIRC? or something.
the third design started as a joke. a joke that had someone in here make a major realization about itself, and the rest of us somewhat surprisingly realized actually could work. it is both a minor and a major shift for our collective image in a somewhat unexpected way. I'm surprised we like it this much, but if we were offered to permanently inhabit the sona we've envisioned... I think we'd all say yes. we're gonna go for this.
I haven't mentioned any details yet, mostly because we are indecisive as FUCK. we haven't even finished our mental design 100% yet, mostly because we may or may not be doing some debating about some details that- let's be honest for a sec. there's some stuff Nidhogg and I specifically want (especially with the scenario we're basing our discussion of this design on internally) that the Demonex in particular has been against, and with this latest design change we're using our acceptance of that to push our preferences through a little more. it's nothing that's a hard no for any of us, but there sure is some heated debate in here. (who needs a community to do fursona discourse when you can just do it inside your own system?? :3 )
anyway, there's several things we need to finish up before we're gonna talk more about this sona of ours. including me having to learn how to do the species-specific design elements. I swear, when I took over the brain that night to push us to actually do some art I did not expect to become the "she does the drawing" system member, but that's how it goes I guess. so that's a fair bit of stuff to learn, but we have a soft and a hard deadline we've set ourselves to have something ready, so it's time to get down to it. after dinner. I'm a hungry little wolf in here~
