the... maybe not weirdest exactly, since we all knew it would probably happen, but strangest feeling thing to us after around when basil showed up and we officially reached double digit headmates in here is how rare it is that we're all active at once anymore. an effect of us both being so fluid and (for a while) so few is that we got used to everyone just kinda hanging around all the time except for when they explicitly withdrew from the common headspace. now that we're too many for that to be constantly feasible, it means we often get those few moments of whoever we're trying to communicate with having to "wake up" first, and... it's manageable and probably healthy to not be everyone active all at once, but it also feels strange. quieter, even if we're still like 5-6 nerds present in headspace. maybe we'll get used to it soon enough.
