🐲🧃 Tired (Positive) from the long day, but we just wanted to quickly say happy International Asexuality Day. A good half-ish of us (We're too tired for an accurate head count rn) are very much ace and a couple are aro too, and it's a banger time- Well, no, but y'all know what we mean.
Somehow, despite us identifying our aceness quite early (We remember thinking back in like 2014-2015 that we were either ace or bi), this was still a journey for us. We maintained an aego label as we realized we weren't cis, although we eventually found ourselves starting to wonder how accurate that label was, if our lack of attraction was a result of dysphoria or something. Turned out we were plural instead, and what we had felt as very hard to parse now-and-then sexual interest was just someone allo taking the front. And a bit of dysphoria, but details. We don't have all the details on our situation down- Such as how we want to handle any possible relationships- but we're getting used to things. Enough that those of us who want to can finally say with full-on confidence and pride: Yes, I am Asexual.
Very much hope all our aro and ace friends have had a lovely day, and a loving reminder that there's nothing wrong with being who y'all are!
