if there's one thing we absolutely love about the new tools sage got in dawntrail, it's the aoe dot (or, as we keep calling it, the aot). nice tool to catch a bunch of trash mobs in during pulls? check. significantly smoother to apply than the single target when there's multiple targets? check. capable of some silliness with the potency math games? check :3
(unless we're calculating potencies way wrong, aoe dot is a slight upgrade for the gcd over single target dot from two targets onward (70 vs 40 per target), while there is a single target potency upgrade to the non dot's that makes the single target attack a gain on two after level 95-ish (before that, aoe is a gain on two and onward). it's a fun mess of numbers~)
