Taken 2016. Toyo Field 45AII large format field camera, Schneider-Kreuznach Super Angulon 90mm f/8, Ilford FP4. ~12 second exposure if I remember right.
These were the police they stationed directly in front of a small peaceful protest at Super Bowl City in San Francisco. The protest was against the fact the city had done a brutal sweep to ensure no homeless people remained in the huge area they wanted to cordon off for the multi-day Super Bowl event. There were maybe 50 protestors and enough cops to stove their heads in if they decided they felt like it. I made my way forward to the barrier, set up my camera, focused under a dark cloth, and stood very still.
I don't know where they found the 7-foot tall megacop in the back and I'm not sure I want to.
