According to the star chart Adne downloaded back at Silvana Station, Wreck should be at the end of this last drift segment.
(They even paid for the premium license so they could keep consulting it for the next month or two navigational hours, whichever came first.)
Finish an Expedition: Weak Hit!
Journey to Wreck progress 9 versus Challenge Dice 8 and 10
Our first progress roll! And yikes, I'm glad Adne and company played it safe by making that that last stop, or else it would have been an outright failure. On a strong hit I'd get to mark the first tick on Adne's Discoveries legacy track (that's XP, basically) for charting a new path from Silvana Station to Wreck. But on a weak hit you reduce the reward by one tier, and since it was only a Troublesome expedition, that means we don't get squat! Oh well.
We also envision the "unforeseen complication" they encounter at the end of their expedition. My first thought is being held up by customs, but that's a little too close to the raiding party encounter we already did. My second thought is there's a massive space battle raging outside Wreck. Hell yeah, let's do that one.
As soon as the Guiding Star exits e-drive, a dozen different alarms begin to blare: collision course detected, weapons discharge detected, electronic intrusion signals detected. Trails of cannon fire crackle from dozens of ships as smoldering wreckage spirals in every direction.
Adne points the Guiding Star's nose down and hits the thrusters, trying to find the perimeter of the engagement zone and clear it.
Even before the ship's inertial diffusers catch up, the executive is clawing her way into the cockpit to look out the canopy. Twisting her shoulders and neck to crane around Adne, she sights the hull markings on one of the belligerents.
Her knuckles turn white on the cockpit headrest as she hisses a name through clenched teeth: "Ambly!"
