i'm drawing some of my friends' au ras this year; here's the first!

games that interest me that i want to try putting my own spin on some day, in what started as an ordered list but then i got distracted and didnt feel like ranking it anymore:

i cannot understate the effect this movie (how to train your dragon) had on me

this scene in particular, flying through clouds at sunset??

these clouds are gorgeous. the lighting is gorgeous. the sense of scale is immaculate. the island at night, with the little specs of orange light amidst a sea of blue... i saw this movie and i wanted to get into vfx. my computer was crappy but blender had a volumetric smoke simulator, and i was so determined to make cool clouds

years later, when i got my first smartphone... i have several gigabytes of clouds on my phone. images, videos, timelapses. clouds are really fucking cool! every project i start, one of the things at the front of my mind is what the sky will look like, what the clouds look like, and how i can get the player looking at or physically next to the clouds.

i wanna make clouds!!!!
