The impending deadline means I need to decide things. So the character1 uses special stones rather than bougie jewels for her powers, and there are extra, super special stones with holes through them. In actual druidy folklore these stones are made by snakes and called cool things like adder stones, hag stones, druid's glass, witch's stones, etc. and they appear in a couple of the Mabinogion stories.
In the game, a particularly big one called the Witching Stone is the cause of the incident you're trying to solve by exploding flans in the woods. After a quick google to make sure it's not also the name of a massage egg, I decided this sounds cool enough it should be the name of the game too.
I did not make this! My friend Sam once again dropped in to make my game 60000% more marketable. He did some amazing art of my character previously and, after I asked if I could use it for my key art, they also wanted to try making a logo. I don't want to overstate my creative input of "90s anime pls" but we went through a bunch art from that era.
As usual they are dodging any attempt for me to comphensate them directly. But I assume later they'll call in a big favour like me taking the fall for a murder. Which is fine. FWIW we did try it with an adder stone for the O itself but it looked a bit weird. Not quite as cool as the BASTARD!! sword, anyway.
