I helped to test the game during its initial development, back when I was much worse at shmups, so it feels great to go back and finally give hard mode ("moderate mode") a try now that I have a better idea of what I'm doing. It's a lot of fun! I'm normally more of a vertical shmup fan, but the widescreen horizontal format makes it so satisfying to line up a big charge shot that cuts through an entire row of enemies.
I highly recommend Hazelnut Hex! It's out now on Nintendo Switch, itch.io and Steam.
