oh yeah, i completely agree, like. my main trade right now is comics, it's just also that doing bulk art like that can be taxing as fuck too, it's more about saving work where i can than anything
Mice Tea gets away with re-using a lot of its assets and leaning on the dialogue, I think most visual novels do in fact, and it works great! I also remember that Dan Shive of EGS said they built a room in 3D just so they could use it as reference for backgrounds (furniture consistency!)
